Cookie policy

How this website uses cookies.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They help the site work properly, remember your preferences and, in some cases, let third-party services such as embedded maps or social media content function. This page explains which cookies the James Beattie Football Academy website uses and how you can control them.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed for the website to work and cannot be switched off in our systems.

  • Site performance (LiteSpeed Cache). Our hosting uses a caching system that may set a cookie (for example _lscache_vary) so that the correct version of a page is shown to you. It does not identify you personally.
  • Logging in (WordPress). If you are a member of academy staff and log in to edit the website, WordPress sets cookies (such as wordpress_logged_in and wp-settings) to keep you signed in and remember your editing preferences. Visitors who do not log in will not receive these cookies.
  • Spam protection. Our contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that enquiries come from a real person. Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie (for example cf_clearance) for this purpose.

Third-party content

Some pages include content provided by other companies. Those companies may set their own cookies when the content loads, and their use of cookies is governed by their own policies.

  • Google Maps on our Contact page, which shows where our main venue is. See Google’s cookie policy.
  • Instagram. Recent photos from our Instagram account are shown on this site as images. Clicking a photo takes you to Instagram, where Meta’s own policies apply.

Links to other websites

Bookings for camps and tournaments are taken through Cognito Forms, and our kit is sold through the JFC Sports online shop. Both open in a new tab and are separate websites with their own cookie and privacy policies. We do not process bookings or payments on this site.

Analytics and advertising

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this website. If that changes, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.

How to control cookies

You can delete cookies already on your device and set most browsers to block them. Doing so may stop parts of this and other websites from working as intended. Instructions for the most common browsers are available at aboutcookies.org.
